Message from the President
Welcome to the Montana Crime Prevention Association website. Joining MCPA, Montana's newest and largest crime prevention organization, is a great investment in your future. MCPA exists to promote comprehensive awareness of the role effective crime prevention plays in improving public safety and quality of life in Montana. Crime Prevention is everyone's business and I hope you make it yours by joining with us. If you do, you will find that the MCPA is a group of highly motivated, dedicated volunteers ready to help in any way they can. Our website is filled with information that can help you and your community protect themselves from crime. Our tips section topics range from personal protection to identity theft protection to on-line shopping safety. The member's only section features our quarterly newsletter as well as educational resources, our membership directory, the latest on legislative issues relating to crime, and our members message board, a great way to keep in touch about the latest in crime prevention. Other exciting news includes the Fourth Annual Crime Prevention Conference in Bozeman, Montana October 20. 21 and 22nd, co-hosted by MCPA and the Montana Board of Crime Control. Look for MCPA involvement in your community: DUI forums designed to provide information about upcoming legislative changes in alcohol laws, child safety programs specifically designed to enhance bicycle safety and stranger awareness, neighborhood watch programs designed to safeguard our homes and communities and other educational programs designed to promote and enhance knowledge about crime prevention. Don't forget to let us know if there is any way we can help you or your community to enhance safety or crime prevention in your area. Also, if you have a suggestion to improve our resources or help others with safety or crime prevention, let us know by emailing us at the link on our homepage. Robert Putzke
